The NFL seems to be all about explosive offense, headlined by a bevy of great quarterbacks and pa sing games. But defense still can win championships with game-changing disruptors.The Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes, but they also have some who can dominate up front on the other side. He remains an all-around terror living up to his first overall draft billing and also is a run-stopping stud.3. Aaron Donald, DT, Rams (age: 32)Donald has contemplated retirement and is clearly near the end of a dominant Hall of Fame career with 3 DPOYs to his credit. He will be known for being in tremendous shape, packing a wallop in his smaller frame and striking fear into the heart of offensive lines.4. Chris Jones, DT, Chiefs (age: 29)Jones has arguably been than Donald of late, at least on par with him as an interior presence. He finished tied for fourth with his 15.5 sacks and seems to show more versatility and disruption with each season. No wonder he's as e sential to Scott Daly Jersey their two Super Bowl run as Mahomes.5. T.J. Watt, EDGE, Steelers (age: 28)Watt had a rough early follow to his SN DPOY campaign with a bothersome pectoral injury, which limited him to only 10 games and 5.5 sacks. Micah Parsons, LB, Cowboys (age: 24)Parsons is the ultimate che s piece without a truly defined position in the Cowboys' front seven. Sauce Gardner, CB, Jets (age: 22)Gardner had only 2 interceptions as a rookie because teams quickly learned not to test his shutdown skills. He still led the league in pa ses defensed to emerge as SN Rookie of the Year and the league's best corner.8. Maxx Crosby, EDGE, Raiders (age: 25)Crosby is like the Western version of Garrett with his relentle s, physical presence as a pa s rusher and run defender. He hits the QB a ton but also uses his wingspan to full advantage as a pa s defender and tackler.9. Quinnen Williams, DT, Jets (age: 25)Williams is the complementary young superstar up front to Gardner. He finished behind only Jones with sacks produced as an interior lineman (12) and is very explosive in blowing up backfield plans.10. Dexter Lawrence, DT, Giants (age: 25)Lawrence had a ma sive year wreaking havoc with 7.5 sacks to show for it inside. He is the anchor of the other fast-rising defense in New York.11. Fred Warner, LB, 49ers (age: 26)Warner had a fifth consecutive season as a do-it-all tackler, cover man, blitzer, run defender and venerable leader. Pat Surtain II, CB, Broncos (age: 23)Surtain also has ascend to the ranks of young shutdown artist and has plenty of respect for it throughout the league. He's no longer in the shadow of his star corner father and namesake.13. Jalen Ramsey, CB, Dolphins (age: 28)Even with a little dropoff in his coverage, Ramsey made it to his sixth consecutive Pro Bowl in his final season with the Rams, where he had a dominant superstar turn flanking Donald. He will Steven Montez Jersey slow down a little more as he turns 29 in October and mi sing some early time with knee surgery, but he will give Miami more active playmaking on the back end to help Xavien Howard.14. Cameron Heyward, DT, Steelers (age: 34)Heyward was the important pa s-rush glue up front when Watt mi sed time in 2023, delivering 10.5 sacks for an incredible fourth amazing season in his 30s. He is the cla sic late bloomer with a potential surge into Canton.15. Jaire Alexander, CB, Packers (age: 26)Alexander record a career-high five interceptions in his second Pro Bowl season, recovering well from an injury-lost 2021. He is an established big playmaker on the ball, with near-shutdown status.16. Derwin James, S, Chargers (age: 27)James has been a healthy wrecking ball for the past two seasons. Demario Davis, LB, Saints (age: 34)Davis, like Heyward, has enjoyed his best seasons after turning 30. He was a solid player with the Jets before transitioning into a stat-stuffing dominant force leading Dennis Allen's defense in New Orleans. He can chase fifth consecutive All-Pro honors in 2023.18. Matt Milano, LB, Bills (age: 29)Milano's calling card is his dynamic coverage skills. Jeff Okudah Jersey He added 11 pa ses defenses with 3 impact interceptions last season. Also an active tackler and blitzer, he just got rewarded with his initial All-Pro first team selection.19. Jeffery Simmons, DT, Titans (age 26)Simmons is a nasty run stopper who's also recorded a total of 16 sacks in back-to-back second-team All-Pro seasons.20. Minkah Fitzpatrick, S, Steelers (age: 26)Fitzpatrick is the worthy third Steelers star to make this list with his linebacker-like tackling and cornerback-like coverage. He seems to be everywhere on the field at once, focusing on wherever the action is.21. Haason Reddick, EDGE, Eagles (age: 28)Reddick was a prolific pa s-rusher with double-digit sack seasons for both the Cardinals and Panthers. Brandon Graham, EDGE, Eagles (age: 35)Graham was a steady venerable playmaker for Philadelphia but he jumped up to spectacular playing off Reddick, Josh Sweat, Javon Hargrave and others with his career-high 11 sacks.23. Lavonte David, LB, Buccaneers (age: 33)David has been underrated throughout his career. All he does is make big plays in all three ways and lead at a high level. He hasn't lost many steps as a ferocious, driven tackler.24. Bobby Wagner, LB, Seahawks (age: 33)Wagner is working toward 10 straight seasons of some All-Pro mention. After a superb season with the rival Rams resulting in a career-high six sacks, he's back to rack up tackles and impact players in Seattle.25. Roquan Smith, LB, Ravens (age: 26)Smith was a dominant rangy playmaker for two teams in 2022, picking up in Baltimore where he left off in Chicago Michael Brockers Jersey . He plays like a heat-seeking mi sile on the second level.26. D.J. Reader, DT, Bengals (age: 29)Reader is a dominant run stopper who got better playing in the ideal front for power under Lou Anarumo. He also has improved as an impact inside pa s rusher.27. Matthew Judon, EDGE, Patriots (age: 30)Judon was dangerous in Baltimore but has transcended into a prolific pa s rusher in New England, spiking to 15.5 sacks in 2022. His versatility for coverage and run defense has been ideal for Bill Belichick.28. Kyle Hamilton, S, Ravens (age: 22)Hamilton lived up to his high billing as an extra linebacker type with race coverage skills. He'll build on being an absolute first-round steal in 2022.29. Talanoa Hufanga, S, 49ers (age: 24)Hufanga made first-team all-Pro working behind Bosa and Warner with 4 interceptions, He is living up to be inspired by his mentor, Troy Polamalu, and then some.30. Jaelan Phillips, EDGE, Dolphins (age: 24)Phillips is a quickly rising versatile pa s-rusher playing off Christian Wilkins. He profiles similar to Parsons and can chase a much high ceiling.
