Andariel, the Maiden of Anguish is a common target for players who are interested in farming in Diablo II: Resurrected Patch 2.5 and Ladder Season 2. In Act One, she has a beautiful antechamber that opens up into a tastefully decorated Throne Room that is located at the very bottom of the Catacombs. Her one-of-a-kind charm cannot be denied; however, this is not the primary reason that we frequently pay her a visit. Andariel is one of the most recognizable bosses in the game, and farming her can be very lucrative due to the fact that the requirements are not overly difficult to meet and the process can be completed in a reasonable amount of time.
Why You Should Keep Andariel in Your Farm in Diablo II: Resurrected
The First Act of Diablo II: Resurrected features Andariel as the game's boss fight. Despite the fact that she is only level 79, she has the ability to drop many highly desirable items because of this. Some of these D2R MF Running Guide include pieces of the coveted Tal Rasha's set, while others include many others. She is not as difficult to track down and kill as later bosses will be, so don't worry too much about that. She has the potential to have a great yield for the time you invest, given that she has decent Magic Find. This is not a particularly impressive haul, but it should be enough to illustrate what an Andy Loot Pile might look like.
In order to farm Andariel in Diablo II: Resurrected, you will need the following:
The first thing to keep in mind is that Andariel is vulnerable to fire. However, even if you use cold or physical attacks, she won't be able to put up much of a fight. She is a skilled poison user, and she possesses a high level of immunity to its effects on her. If there is another option available to you, you should avoid using poison against her. The cold does its job perfectly, and it also slows her attacks down.
This brings up the other major point to be discussed. If you are dealing ranged damage to the queen, you have the ability to use the pillars and other features in her throne room to avoid her poison. However, your mercenary either cannot or will not do this depending on which one you use. As a result, it is recommended that you bring a supply of antidote potions with you. Before you begin the fight, clench your teeth and force a couple of these down your throat to increase your resistance to poison. Keep in mind that the duration stacks, but not the effect, so you can easily get a full minute of buffed poison resistance for less than 200 gold. This is because the duration stacks but not the effect.
You could also use a shortcut key to administer the antidote to your mercenary, or you could bind the action to a foot pedal if you frequently perform this task and have one available. It is surprisingly convenient, and in the end, the cost of an antidote or a Full Rejuvenation is less than the cost of resurrecting Jemali.
The Step-by-Step Guide to Andariel Farming in Diablo II: Resurrected
There are a few tips and tricks that can help you farm Andariel more efficiently. We get to her Throne Room by going down from the Catacombs 2 waypoint, then going through Catacombs 3, and finally finding the stairs that lead down to Catacombs 4, which is her level. When you first appear on Catacombs 2, you are going to want to take what is sometimes referred to as the right shoulder approach. This is the strategy that will give you the best chance of success. You could also think of it as moving in the opposite direction of the clock. This is almost always the quickest way to get to the stairs leading down to Catacombs 3, so you should take it. There are multiple possible layouts for the stage, but the stairs can be found more quickly than elsewhere in the level if you leave the starting area and head in the direction directly to the right.
The only pattern that has been found for Catacombs 3 is the fact that the stairs leading down are almost always on an edge. Other than that, no patterns have been found. Simply head in a certain direction, locate the boundary, and clockwise navigate the area. Teleporting or using Enigma would be very helpful in this situation. You will eventually locate the stairs that lead down to Catacombs 4, so don't worry about that. It is a good idea to place a Town Portal at the top of these stairs, particularly during the first few times that you attempt this on a specific difficulty level, and Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder Guides is an even better idea to do so if you are relying on an item for teleportation D2R Gear Guides. It makes getting back after an unfortunate accident when you have lost your good gear much simpler and safer for you to do.
After descending, you will enter a small room that has a door leading into the Antechamber. It is best to clear these out in case there are any Elites in with Andariel that you might want to pull out later. Clearing them out is often the best option. Again, whether or not it is worth your time depends on the level of your equipment in comparison to the challenges you face. You also have the option, in the event that things go from bad to worse, of kiting Andariel around the pit in the center of the Antechamber.
The entrances to the Throne room can be found at the very top of the Antechamber. Before you pull Andariel, who will be directly ahead of you, it is strongly recommended that you clear the area to the left and right first, especially if there are Elites in the vicinity. A fight that might normally be straightforward becomes a lot more entertaining when one of the Elite packs casts an aura and the other casts a curse on you and your minion. Because there is a possibility of finding at least three Elite Packs in the Throne Room, it is important to proceed with some degree of caution.
Andariel herself is straightforward. Be wary of her poison, and if you have the ability to do so, try to prevent her from casting by disrupting the line of sight between you and her target. She is a boss encounter, but if you pay attention and are careful, she won't be too difficult. I hope that your Andariel runs go well for you!
