Plate tower equipment is widely used in chemical production, and its operation process is introduced by taking the distillation tower of atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit, which is common in waste oil to diesel refining plant, as an example:

1. Check whether the valve of the rectification tower system is closed/opened correctly. Before distillation starts, open the cooling water circulation system, open the pressure relief valve, then open the condenser cooling water valve, adjust the water pressure to 0.15MPa, and close the feed rotameter valve.
2. Open the vacuum of the rectification tower system, the vacuum degree is selected according to the specific process requirements, such as the distillation material is volatile, open the brine unit, enable the condensation system, and capture the material.
3. Start the magnetic pump, send the distillation material into the metering tank, and then transport it to the high tank.
4. Open the preheating steam valve, open the tower tank steam valve, and control the steam pressure within the required range, maintain the set temperature.
5. Check whether the valve of the connecting pipe between the tower body, tower kettle and residual liquid tank is opened correctly.
6. Select the appropriate inlet of the tower, open the rotameter, and adjust the flow rate according to the specific situation.

     7, the whole distillation process must be monitored vacuum, steam pressure, flow, material delivery and discharge conditions.

8. After distillation, drain and clean the system.

B.plate tower equipment shutdown maintenance

It is usually necessary to periodically shut down for maintenance, open the tower equipment, and overhaul its internal components. Note that when disassembling trays, each layer of trays should be marked so that errors may occur during reassembly. In addition, spare parts, such as seals, connectors, etc. are prepared in advance before the shutdown inspection to replace or supplement. The shutdown check items are as follows

1. Remove tray or packing, check and clean dirt or impurities.
2. Detect the thickness of the tower wall, make the thinning prediction curve, evaluate the corrosion situation, and judge the service life of the tower equipment; Check the tower body for leakage, and make repair arrangements for leakage.
3. Check the wear and tear of tray or packing.
4. Check whether the liquid level gauge, pressure gauge and safety valve are blocked and operate under the specified pressure, and readjust and correct if necessary.
5. If abnormal vibration is found during operation, the cause should be identified during shutdown inspection.
